Citizen Police Academy
The Greenfield Police Department is providing Greenfield citizens and Greenfield employees the opportunity to learn about the “how’s and why’s” of law enforcement. The objective of the program is to: • Increase citizen awareness of a police officer’s responsibilities. • Improve communications with citizens. • Educate citizens on patrol procedures, state statutes, traffic laws, plus much more. When: Thursdays, March 12 - May 14 (no class on April 9) Time: 6:30-9:30 pm Where: Law Enforcement Building 5300 W. Layton Ave. Pre-registration is required. GCC Donates to Library Foundation
The Greenfield Chamber of Commerce is proud to be able to donate $10,000 to the Greenfield Library Foundation. We will be sponsoring the Business Conference Room w/video conferencing technology. This is going to be a great place for the community to have meetings. The first installment will be presented to Library Director Sheila O’Brien at the January 6, 2009 Common Council meeting. The meeting will begin at 7 pm at the Common Council Meeting Room in City Hall. You may also see the meeting on cable TV channel 25.

Congratulations to Dave Hahn of Outback Steakhouse. Dave was named a 2008 Regional Partner of the Year. This prestigious award was only given to 40 individuals from nearly 775 Outback Restaurants nationwide. Have you, your company or an employee received an award or recognition? We would like to know. Kids will have a blast creating their own apple or cherry pie at Baker’s Square Restaurant. When: Monday, March 16th Time: 4:00-8:00 pm Where: Baker’s Square at 4900 South 76th Street Cost: Free But… if you would like to have dinner or purchase a pie… Baker’s Square is donating 10% of all sales during this event to Maple Grove Elementary School in Greenfield.
